One thing that might have been lost in all the excitement surrounding the vSphere 6 product launch yesterday was the new VMware certification roadmap that has just been announced. Some of the notable changes are the removal of the VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) and the addition of the VCIX (VMware Certified Implementation Expert).
Another notable change is the new Cloud Management and Automation track. This replaces the VCDX-Cloud, which was based on the sunsetting vCloud Director product, with a new VCDX6-CMA, which presumably will be based on the vRealize Suite instead.
My certification goals for 2015 include expanding my VCDX-NV to a dual VCDX in either DCV or CMA. What are your certification goals for 2015?
